Brown BETA ALPHA LAMBDA During the first semester of this year, the brothers of Beta Alpha Lambda have strived to make improve­ ments on the interior of Kellogg House. All the rix>ms were refinished, a new taupe rug, davenport and dub chair were added to the living room and rubber nut­ ting was laid throughout the entire downstairs hall. Both rushing smokers in October and February were successful in introdut ing students ol Paul Smith's College into fraternity life The- w<<k<nd | irln .. In Id during Christmas Cotillion, Winter ( arnnal, and Spring Weekend, were highly successful. Many students on the campus hau- enjoyed the fa­ cilities of Kellogg House and the congenial atmos phere conveyed by the brothers. In the fall .ill b.isr ball fans were welcomed to watch the World Sc-ms on TV at the fraternity house. la true Fraternal Tradition the brothers of Beta Alpha Lambda and Tau Kappa Beta worked together to produce one of the best Spring Weekends held at Paul Smith's. If* theme was ’’Greek Weekend\ and was highlighted by the second real formal dance Paul Smith's has ever had. Music was supplied by the Pas­ tel I Pastclls,\ a fourteen piece band from Plattsburgh. A banquet was held in the cafeteria on Saturday, pre­ ceded by a cocktail party held in the hotel lounge. Friday night's dance was a Bohemian Hop. Enter­ tainment preceded this in the gym by the fraternity brothers. The fraternity built a very nice snow statue for the Snow Statue Contest at Winter Carnival. The organization contributed to the Dean Hughes Scholarship Fund last spring. 94
