VARSITY CLUB Membership in the dub is open only to those peo ple who have won a varsity letter in a sport at Paul Smith's College. Each year the club presents a trophy for the \Most Valuable Player Award.\ The award is presented to the student who makes an unusual contribution to athletics, demonstrating good sportsmanship and main taining a good scholastic record. Last year Joe Rivers and Leif Unger shared the honor of receiving this trophy at Moving Up Day. As the club has done in the past, the members have assisted the Physical Education Department by offici ating for the intramural sports program. Awards are also presented by the club to the win ners of the intramural contests. As a means of raising funds for these awards, the club members run the re freshment stand concession at all home basketball games. The final meeting of the club in the spring was in the form of a dinner for all members. 90
