inquire about, the five days were.soon over Prior to returning to the campus, the group made a visit to the dining room and kitchen facilities of the United Nations Cafeteria. A t the scheduled bi-weekly meetings, the group spent hours of interesting discussion, devoted to the experiences of the students in their summer hotel employment. Beautiful slides of these hotels and some of their in teresting aspects, highlighted these discus sions. On occasion, visiting speakers added their experience to the education of the group. The coordinated efforts of the Hotel Association and the Student Christian As sociation produced a \better-than-ever\ 1956 W inter Carnival. M a n y new features were introduced into this year's program. The semi-formal dance climaxed the week-end, preceded by a marvelous buffet of assorted foods, entirely prepared and served by mem bers of the Hotel Association. The colorfully lighted ice-skating rink, the presentation of an elaborate perpetual award for the inter dormitory statue contest, the sock dance, and many other enjoyable events, made this 1956 Carnival one to remember. The leadership qualities of the commit tee heads was outstanding; the work per formed by the many volunteer members of the committees was exemplary, and the over all success of the entire weekend can best be summed up by a very modest, ''W e ll Done.\ Other trips were made during the Spring to nearby hotels, and visits to industries re lated to the hotel business completed the academic year.
