M a n y activities w e r e p l a n n e d a n d carried out during the meetings. O n e of the m o s t interesting of these activities w a s a d e m o n s t r a t i o n o n h a n d loading given b y Mr. Kirche. Several other talks to inform m e m b e r s a b o u t handling, cleaning, storing, a n d s h o o t ­ ing of firearms w e r e given. A l o n g with m a t c h e s a n d instructions the club f o u n d time to w o r k o n the rifle shack. iam Me Henry, President; Richard Neale. T h e building, situated o n the rifle r a n g e near the m a i n c a m p u s , w a s started last year to e q u i p the r a n g e for winter shooting. In J a n u ­ ary, the club f o r m e d a rifle t e a m a n d held a m a t c h with the M a l o n e Rifle a n d Pistol Club. T h e b o y s shot well a n d a l t h o u g h they did not w i n the match, it p r o v e d to b e g o o d fun a n d experience. Last spring the club w a s c o - s p o n s o r of the Spring Festival. T h e g a l a social event c o n ­ sisted of a general field d a y for foresters, a b a n q u e t , a cocktail party a n d a formal d a n c e to top the w h o l e w e e k - e n d . 52
