Pleasant working conditions and many intangible benefits. Beef up that resume. See Shawn Swanson or David Vinopal in Science 30. D e f L e p p a r d R e v i e w e d Paul Smith’s College will sponsor a performance by The Astonishng Neal, nationally-acclaimed psychic entertainer and hypnotist, at Cubley Library on Saturday, Nov. .7, at 9 pm. This will be a remarkable two and one-half hour presentation of extra-sensory perception (ESP) and hypnosis entitled “A Close Encounter With the Mind.” Astonishing Neal has appeared on such national television shows as “To Tell the Truth,” “ The Mike Douglas Show,” “ P M Magazine” and the NBC Network show “Real People” where he drove an automobile at high speed on a winding road after being completely blindfolded by the show’s Popular host, Skip Stephenson. Neal is also a very popular guest on radio talk shows where frequently, the station switchboards will literally jam from call-ins. At the age of nine, Neal first realized his remarkable Cental abilities when he miraculously knew the amount of money in his ^other’s pocket — a feat he Performs today with total strangers. He would unnerve his mother by telling her who was calling even before she answered the phone or the doorbell. Friends and relatives began to take the Astonishing Neal’s unique talent seriously when he accurately predicted that a neighbor would lose his job the very next day! In high school, he amused friends by describing what was awaiting them around corners or behind walls! He continued to develop his sensitivity with clairvoyance, telepathy, para-optic vision, precognition and psycho kinesis until it was possible for him to receive thoughts not only in English but in foreign languages as well. He is also able to cause objects to move, steel to bend and flashcubes to explode simply by exerting his mental control over them. A graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, The Astonishing Neal has made hundreds of accurate predictions including the winners of superbowls, championship fights and major elections, plus he has foretold news events of worldwide import. Performing with other well- known entertainers is commonplace for the Astonishing Neal. He has shared the spotlight with other famous personalities such as Bruce Jenner, John Davidson, Tony Randall, Sally Field, Beau Bridges, Meryl Streep, Jason Robards, and “ Tatoo” of Fantasy Island. Astonishing Neal gained international attention as a featured entertainer aboard the world’s largest “Love Boat,” the Queen Elizabeth II, where he performed in England, Norway, Denmark, Nova Scotia and the island of Bermuda. Neal is also in great demand by major corpor ations and has appeared for the F&M Schaeffer Brewing Company, I.T.T., A.T.&T., Olin Corporation, W .R. Grace, Aetna Insurance Company, B.F. Goodrich and Westinghouse, among others. On Saturday, October 3rd, the Olympic Center in Lake Placid was once again crowded with people of all ages who had come to see a concert. Def Leppard was the main attraction, with the opening band being Telsa. After getting off to a late start, Telsa, a band from California, started warming up the crowd with a collection of their songs. The band did a good job with the music and lights but were sometimes too loud to understand. Def Leppard opened up their part of the show dramatically with lights, smoke, and by dropping the huge curtains that had hidden the stage during set-up. They played many songs off their new album, combined with a variety of songs from their previous albums. Unlike Telsa, Def Leppard’s sound was clear the entire time they were on stage. The music and their light show made for a very energetic and enjoyable show. Ellen Williams A capacity audience is expected for this unusual two and one-half hour “ESP and Hypnosis Spectacular.” Don’t miss this great family entertainment that is free to the public.
