The
Leaning
Pine,
the
symbol
of
Paul
Smith’s
College,
was
chopped
down
by
vandals
on
November
12,
1971.
The
misdeed
occuied
some
time
during
the
early
morning
hours.
The
Pine,
long
a
landmork
in
this
section
of
the
Adirondacks
and
perhaps
the
most
photographed
tree
in
the
area,
was
estimated
to
be
between
two
hundred-fifty
and
three
hundred
years
old.
